Empowerment Zones

If your business operates in one of these, you might be eligible for a federal hiring credit as well as the opportunity to receive special financing opportunities.

For example, if your business operates in an Empowerment Zone, a federal program provides a tax credit of up to $3,000 for each eligible employee; and, some employees who reside in an Empowerment Zone and Enterprise Community can qualify for a Work Opportunity Credit.
